We love our community, and we love serving it well. We show our love for those around us by “leaning in” to their physical and emotional needs.
God has allowed us to build wheelchair ramps for our aging friends and family in our community. We have been able to complete simple home repairs for those unable to resource these projects themselves. We have been able to respond with trained volunteers after storms, floods, and other disasters.

Our call to engage others for Christ expands beyond the boundaries of our church and community. Volunteer teams from The Glade Church have served many other cities in times of crisis including New Orleans, LA; Surgoinsville, TN; New York, NY; and Rainelle, WV.
We recently established a new partnership with an inner city church in Atlanta, GA, located in an area of the city considered to be among the least reached for Christ. Doors are opening for us to partner with this church as they expand their ministries to those living in Atlanta.

My Life Speaks is our global ministry partner in Neply, Haiti. We serve alongside them as they minister to Haitians through orphan care and prevention, education, and public health.
We also have a global ministry partner through a church in the Villa Urquiza neighborhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In a city with a population around 15 million, only 5% identify as evangelical Christians in Buenos Aires. Our partnership with this church will help engage their community by meeting needs and sharing the hope of the gospel.

Compassion ministries are at the heart of our church. Our identity in Christ is best displayed by our love for others, so we want to be active in meeting the physical needs of those who are hurting and in need.
God has equipped so many of our people with unique gifts which enable us to serve them well. We have an automotive ministry that repairs donated cars and trucks to give to individuals without transportation. We have a quilt ministry that makes, prays over them, and sends them to individuals who have been devastated by health issues, painful life situations, or the death of a loved one. We have a food pantry stocked with ready-to-deliver boxes of food for those who are hungry.
These are just a few of the ministries we believe God has uniquely equipped us to provide to who face seasons of desperation in their lives. If you feel led to participate in any of these areas, or if you have a heart and gifting to meet another compassion need that we do not currently offer, please stop by one of the information desks or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
